The first film screening in our spring 2024 series! Snacks will be served, and space may be limited. This documentary tells the story of an indigenous child from Paraguay who, after surviving the massacre of her family by white settlers, was kidnapped and subjected to inhumane and objectifying study in the name of early-20th-century scientific racism. Her people, the Aché, recover her remains over a century later and see her as a symbol of hope and unity in the struggle to recover their lands. See the trailer here.
