On September 17, 2019, Dr. Claudia Cabello Hutt of UNC-Greensboro delivered a talk on her two book projects: the recently-published Artesana de sí misma: Gabriela Mistral, una intelectual en cuerpo y palabra (Purdue UP, 2019), and her book in progress on international queer networks in the first half of the twentieth century. She discussed working with recently-released archival material on the first Nobel laureate from Latin America, and the challenges and exciting discoveries that come with building a project from such sources. She was very positively received by a numerous and enthusiastic audience.

Earlier in the day, Dr. Cabello Hutt had visited a graduate seminar on archives and feminisms, taught by Dr. Sarah Moody.
